This Eurorack module is designed to transform your existing VCO into a versatile drum sound generator. Create everything from deep, heavy bass drums to punchy, harmonically rich kick drums and even tom-like percussive elements.

An on-board filter and VCA provide precise shaping of your drum tones, while dedicated attack/decay controls deliver dynamic and nuanced results.

How it Works:

A pitch slide is generated to create the desired sound, which is then processed through a filter with adjustable attack and decay. Finally, a VCA shapes the amplitude with its own dedicated attack/decay controls.

To integrate the module into your Eurorack setup:

• Connect your VCO's 1V/Oct and VCO Sync inputs to the provided CV outputs.
• Route the VCO's output to the module's VCO In.
• Trigger the module with a gate signal connected to the Gate In input.

While sine waves are a popular choice for bass drum synthesis, experiment with square waves to explore a world of harmonically rich drum sounds. The low-pass filter, with adjustable envelope amount and cutoff, offers precise control over the tonal character. For even more dynamic performance, externally control the Tune and Cutoff parameters with additional CV sources.

Due to its design, the module may capture the waveform cycle of the VCO at a slightly different phase, potentially altering the transient characteristics of the drum sound. Connecting the VCO's sync input can minimize this effect.
